CLASS OF 1980
Commissioner Ena Lynette Weathers has distinguished herself professionally and in community service since she graduated 9th in her class of 494 students from Belleville High School in 1980. She started toward her lifelong dream of becoming an attorney at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating magna cum laude in 1984. Four years later, she graduated from the University of Michigan with a Juris Doctorate. She is the president of the Michigan Black Law Alumni Society. In 1997, Governor John Engler appointed her to her position as a commissioner for the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
