CATHY HORSTE (STROMME)

Senior Inspector Cathy Horste has distinguished herself as a law enforcement officer, historian, and volunteer. She was the first female road patrol police officer Van Buren Township hired in 1976. She is the co-author of Water Under the Bride-A History of Van Buren Township. She has received numerous awards from local, state, and national organizations for outstanding professional and volunteer service. She became a US Treasury Department Customs Inspector in 1986 and was awarded the title “Senior Inspector” in 1992 for distinguished service.
