The 5th grade activity night was a huge success. A great time dancing, eating, playing in the gym and building crafts was had by the 140 students in attendance. Memories were created that will last a lifetime. #TigerPride

Our Bingo for Books event last week was a huge success. We had over 100 people attend and gave away over 400 books. Thanks for everyone who came out to participate.
Everyday throughout the school students are participating in an All School Read Aloud. We have been reading The Enormous Crocodile 🐊 by Roald Dahl. Roald also wrote the BFG and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
We had another Book Attack. Students who had their book bags to show off their current reads received a small prize. Reading is essential to increased academic achievement.
Final reminder for the 6th grade Activity Night! It is tomorrow. Students must have a permission slip on file along with a $3 entrance cost. Oh and bring that cash for pizza and other junk food.
This is the last week to turn in your store receipts and help us earn gift certificates for our students. Send them in with your student and make the magic happen. Thanks!
On Friday the school celebrated an All School Read Aloud to celebrate March is Reading Month. Students dressed up and "laid around" on the beach to read a good book. #Reading #beach #OwenTigers

Our EASY Receipt Fundraiser begins next Monday and will run until March 22nd. All you need to drop off your receipts that are less than 15 days old from any store, gas station, restaurant, etc. We turn them in for gift certificates to give away to our students.

***March Is Reading Month Update***
Yesterday was our first Book Attack. Mr. Richard announced at 10:30 there was a book attack at school. Students then scrambled to show their self decorated book bag.to their teacher. If they were carrying it, random students were chosen to win a prize. It pays to carry a good book!
Our Robotics Club is working year-round to raise funds for their competition. Lately they have been selling products made from their 3-D printer.
This is the easiest fundraiser ever! Everyone shops, right? Drop off your receipt in the main office. We will scan it and earn points to redeem for gift certificates to raffle off to the students.
The gift certificates are used as part of our PBIS Program.
Receipts cannot be more than 15 days old.
