Miss Runyan and her math students were captured on video during a lesson about math tasks. The State of Michigan wanted to use our teacher and students as a model for others. Math tasks are another strategy to help students gain a deeper understanding of mathematics. #OwenTigers

POISSON d'AVRIL!! Madame Mulvey's French intramural class learned about Poisson d'Avril (April Fools) and the history behind why it started. Traditionally school aged children in France celebrate Poisson d'Avril by placing a fish sticker on the back of someone, so Madame's students spent the afternoon like the French and placed their own decorated fish on their friends! Vive la France! 🇫🇷🐠
This is the final week to order your 23–24 yearbook. This year the yearbook is being created by a Yearbook Club. Only a few extra copies will be ordered.
The monthly PBIS raffle was live last Friday. Students who demonstrated respectful, responsible and safe behavior were given Tiger Tickets. These tickets were placed in the raffle box and 25 students were chosen to have an ice cream sundae bar. #PBIS #TigerPride #amazingbehavior
Mrs. Boykin took a group of students over to the Early Childhood Center to participate in a community involvement event. Our students put together an Easter Egg Hunt for our future Owen Tigers.
The final 6th Grade Activity Night was attended by over 140 students. We jammed to some tunes, threw some hoops, put together crafts and stuffed ourselves with pizza and junk food. #makingmemories
