Kindergarten serves as an essential environment for children to develop their social skills, including sharing, teamwork, and communication, which are vital for their overall growth. While in kindergarten, children will concentrate on foundational academic skills in reading and mathematics. This includes understanding how phonemes function together (letters and sounds), blending phonemes to read words, and grasping concepts like number sense, measurement, shapes, and the ability to deconstruct words to identify sounds as they compose three sentences on a given topic. Kindergarten offers an environment enriched with interactive and hands-on materials, allowing children to explore, create, and engage with their peers to strengthen their fine motor skills and academic competencies. Additionally, kindergartners will learn about their surroundings through Science and explore their role in Social Studies.
