The Belleville Marching
Tigers are comprised of members
of all the concert bands. Besides performing at all
home games and in two annual community parades, the band
has also performed in the Detroit Thanksgiving Parade,
the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade
(twice), several times at Disney World’s Epcot
Center and Magic Kingdom, and in the Orange Bowl, the Hall
of Fame Bowl, the Liberty Bowl, and the Outback Bowl–to
which they returned for a third time in 2008.
The Freshmen and Concert
Bands continue to build their own tradition of excellence,
performing some of the finest band literature at several
concerts a year. The Belleville
Symphony Band has a rich tradition of performing
difficult music to very high standards. They have performed by
invitation at national music festivals in Indianapolis, New York City,
Boston, and Washington, D.C., and at the Bands of America
National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis (twice),
the National Band Festival at Carnegie Hall (twice), the First New York Wind Band Festival (also at
Carnegie Hall), the Michigan Music Conference (twice), the Spring
Conference on Wind and Percussion Music at Western Michigan
University, and the Concert Band Symposium at Central Michigan
University. |
